Fenix Fitness, Nutrition Counseling is wrapped into every fitness plan. Since each person is different, each counseling session is never the same.

We don’t preach the standard diet culture lines. Our nutrition coaching program is specific to you

During our nutrition counseling sessions, we’ll develop a nutrition plan based on your personal nutrition goal. We’ll look at what you eat, how you eat, and any obstacles you might be facing.

For example, if you struggle with binge eating a bag of potato chips we’ll break down the triggers that cause this behavior, and put together a plan together with a nutrition program to help prevent it.

What To Expect During Nutrition Coaching

Nutrition is a BIG part of personal training. Every person that signs up for Fenix Fitness, Personal Training goes through an intro visit where we learn all about you. We want to know if this is your first time, or if you’ve tried to get fit and healthy previously. We’ll ask you about your abilities, what kind of challenges you think are the biggest, and what kind of lifestyle you have. We understand that a full-time Mom or Dad doesn’t always have a consistent schedule.

We’ll also dig into your diet. What you eat, how often, ask you about your habits, see if you have problems restricting certain foods. We want to be able to detail a plan that is suited for you.

Even if you sign up for our Group, Family or Couples Personal Training – Each nutrition plan is individualized.

What We Can’t Do

There are limitations to what kind of nutrition guidance we can give you. Unless you consult a nutritionist or registered dietitian, we cannot create a meal plan or advise you on supplements, or prescribe diets to treat any medical conditions.

So if you’re a diabetic, we can’t advise you on what type of diet you should be following. In these instances, you would need to consult with a registered dietitian nutritionist.

But What We Can Do Is Talk About Nutrition

The fitness industry is starting to look at the whole picture when it comes to health and fitness. Performance nutrition is a LARGE part of this.

As personal trainers, we should be learning about how you eat, what you eat, and if you feel you have any problems with food. We can give guidance on what type of food to eat and why, as well as how you might prepare them. We can also give recommendations as to what to eat before and after workouts, how to stay hydrated – or stay away from things that dehydrate you, and explain all this to you in a way you can understand.

Nutrition Is A BIG Part Of The Fitness Puzzle

We, as trainers, spend just as much time in the exercise and fitness world as we do in the nutrition world. It’s one of those important facets that will really boost your ability to reach your health and fitness goals.

Without effective nutrition coaching, you’re training efforts will be much, much harder. It really is just as important as deciding to work on your fitness.
